I have not had this situation arise in my experience, but have had similar
experiences in dealing with other screws being stuck...
Use heat. Perhaps a soldering iron with a clean tip. Heat the metal around
the screw. Hot metal expands making the hole bigger than the screw and
therefore releasing the tight grip on the stuck screw.
In the marine repair industry we call it using the blue wrench. (torch =
blue flame)

In addition to penetrating oil and a hammer tap or two, I would get a
better fitting screwdriver, longer and one that has a better grip. You
could google it or ask on this list but i think the LO driver is a phillips
head, as opposed to posi-grip which looks very similar.
If u can get a high quality vise grip on the screw head, u might be able
to get a good enough grip to turn the screw. If these 2 attempts fails, u
could drill off the screw head and once the reed plate is removed, try to
get the good quality vise grip on the shaft of the screws.
If THAT fails, by now the reed plate is removed from the comb. If u can't
drill new holes, if all else fails, you could hopefully replace the comb.
Good luck.
